Thought for the day:

"Give me grace to amend my life, and to have an eye to mine end, without grudge of death, which to them that die in thee,
good Lord, is the gate of a wealthy life."
St. Thomas More

THREE THINGS

"Three things are necessary for the salvation of man; to know what he ought to believe; to know what he ought to desire; and to know what he ought to do."
St. Thomas Aquinas

Rights of Man?

"The people have heard quite enough about what are called the 'rights of man'. Let them hear about the rights of God for once". Pope Leo XIII Tamesti future, Encyclical

Eternity

All souls owe their eternity to Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, many have turned their back to him.

WE GOT MOONED!

We got mooned last night, September 27, 2015. It was kind of cool to see, even if you're not into that kind of thing. It was called a 'Super Blood Moon' eclipse, if you care. The Earth got in the way between the Sun and our moon, thus making it sort of orange/red in color. If you missed it, you'll have to wait until the year 2033.

On a related note, Pope Francis left our beloved country. I hope these two aren't related. I mean, we have a leader who was brought up on 'Liberation Theology' in the 1970's, which started in Central America. He is totally right when speaking about the poor and the needy. We are to help them however we can. And, he visited prisoners; this is another thing we're supposed to do in living our Faith. And, he IS the successor of St. Peter. However, he seems to adhere to that theology of the 70's, where it follows more closely socialism than the One, Holy, Apostolic, Roman Catholic Church, which has stood the test of time for 2000 years. He has bought into the thought that somehow the Faith changes with the current times, and he is WRONG in this belief. He needs to promote this Faith for us to listen to him. Otherwise, he is just another bad Bishop to be ignored.

Anyway, I hope this eclipse doesn't mean we are to become 'red' in our beliefs, because of these signs. Learn the Faith that comes to us directly from the Apostles, and accept NOTHING contrary to their teachings. PERIOD! Remember, the Faith relies on logic, not emotion.

The following kind of looks like a 'red' head wearing the Papal zucchetto. Just sayin'
