Garabandal

Since this is Saturday, and this month is the month of the Rosary of our Blessed Mother, I thought just pass something along, in case you haven't heard of it.

As you should know, Our Lord and His Blessed Mother have appeared at various times throughout the world. These visits were to ask someone's help in instituting some devotion or other. Since these visits, we have devotions to the Sacred Heart, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and many others. Sometimes Archangels appear, sometimes saints. But, I think, mostly our Lord and His Mother. They are trying to help us reach heaven, and warning us as to something that is wrong in the world, thus, possibly endangering our souls. They do this so that we can maybe fix what is wrong, do some atoning, so to be with them and all the saints for all eternity. Well...

In 1961, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to four children in northern Spain. These visions happened in a period of four years. St. Padre Pio said that the Virgin was appearing in Spain, and that is good enough for me. I was, however, always concerned that the kids seemed to be happy most of the time, and didn't seemto be looking in the same direction. This is in comparison to the children at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. They hardly ever smiled. Of course, they had been shown hell, along with those souls falling into it. Hardly a reason to smile, I guess. Anyway, the messages that were given at Garabandal were very disturbing, to say the least. But, they serve as a warning. I thought I'd post a couple of them to make you think. Upon seeing the problems within the Church over the past 50+ years, these statements seem to make more sense than they did when I first heard of Garabandal.

On October 18, 1961, this vision was revealed:

"We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us."

This was followed four years later on June 18, 1965, by a second and final message from the Blessed Virgin, delivered on her behalf by St. Michael the Archangel:

"As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is overflowing. Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your Mother, through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to Us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the Passion of Jesus."

(This makes me thing about the Mass preceding the Traditional Mass which follows at the church we go to. There are probably 300-400 people going to that Mass. However, unless I am mistaken, I have only seen 1 person taking the time after Mass to be before the Holy Sacrament and giving thanks. It is very pathetic, to say the least. Our good Lord deserves much better than He gets. THIS is the huge difference between the new and the old. Those people are going to a meal, while those who attend the Traditional Mass are going to His Sacrifice. After Mass is 'happy hour' for them. It's almost like those at the new mass are saying, if they bother at all to recognize Jesus: "Hey, thanks for coming. Want to go to the beach or a soccer game with us?")

[*Remember this] Pope St. Pius X stated: "There is no part of Catholic truth which they leave untouched, none they do not strive to corrupt." He was trying to warn people of the wave within the Church called MODERNISM.!

Anyway, I thought I'd share these messages from Garabandal in Spain. Remember, Our Lady at Fatima, Portugal, told us that she was our ONLY HOPE!

Well, she's waiting!
